Doon Cambridge School hosted Albert Barrow Memorial All India Inter School Creative Writing Competition.

On 12th July 2019, Doon Cambridge School hosted the prestigious Albert Barrow Memorial All India Inter School Creative Writing Competition. The event witnessed an august gathering of highly talented and creative students from 18 renowned schools of Uttarakhand.

The topic was sent by the Council and the sealed envelope was opened on the spot in front of the participants who were given half an hour to prepare from the given topics:

1. I have the power I can vote.
2. Ways to foster democracy in School.
3. Can democracy be devoid of morality?
4. The courage to do what we know is morally correct is true democracy.

The contestants were asked to write a creative piece of approx 1000 words. The purpose of their annual event is to encourage creative writing among students.

The Principal Mrs. H. K. Chhabra thanked all the contestants and the Council for this competition so that the budding new writers get an opportunity to enhance their skills and use this creative writing as an effective tool to express their views.
